During February 2010 will take place the "Barcelona Percussion Festival", where the group Asstrio toghether with Toni Pages and Joaquin Arteaga will give us an outstanding night of explosive rhythms.

The concerts will be held during all february around Catalunya starting 6 of February in Láuditori de Barcelona.

Joaquín Arteaga plays with Larry Harlow in Los Angeles, remembering "Salsa Suite" Live

Renowned Latin-style pianist Larry Harlow will present the world-premiere full performance of La Raza Latina, a Salsa Suite, Saturday, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m., in the Luckman Theatre at California State University, Los Angeles.

Harlow will conduct the CSULA Afro Latin Ensemble and welcome guest performers for a night of salsa rhythms, contemporary Latin music, and Afro Latin Jazz. Featured vocalist Adonis Puentes will be among special guests, including vocalist Iris Sandra Cepeda, percussionist Joaquin Arteaga, percussionist Memo Acevedo, the CSULA Afro Latin Ensemble directed by Paul De Castro, and several CSULA faculty artists. The Salsa Suite is sponsored by CareMore Health Plan. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for students. For tickets, call the Luckman Box Office at (323) 343-6600.
